BlueHeron says:
Grand Central Baking Co. has a bread dumpster (I couldn’t get the site to let me edit the map myself). It’s off of Ohio and Diagonal Ave., in the Georgetown neighborhood. (Where the viaduct turns into E Marginal Way, just south of Spokane St.) The dumpster is located inside of a warehouse, so it might be inaccessible at night.

in reguards to blue heron, I would say that the warehouse for grand central bakery is actually the parking area for the delivery trucks. They do have no door to close the area off with. They have 3 dumpsters for bread. I highly recomend the OLIVE LOAF!

Im not so sure of this website yet, seems going out yerself to locate these places and just plain ole word of mouth should do the job, this site just takes the work and or fun out of the DIY aspect, maybe even draw the wrong kind of attention, who knows, this is just my street ethics on keeping it on the DL, Late

movie reccommendation: The Gleaners and I.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0247380/
An intimate, picaresque inquiry into French life as lived by the country’s poor and its provident, as well as by the film’s own director, Agnes Varda. The aesthetic, political and moral point of departure for Varda are gleaners, those individuals who pick at already-reaped fields for the odd potato, the leftover turnip.

Naked Juice has moved their dumpster behind the fence. They “close” at 5:30 and the fence stays open for about an hour or two after, this is the time to go.
Note to all!
It seemed to have scrolled off, but the logon info is nwdumpsterdivers and the PW is password. Feel free to add anything for people. Share the love! We can’t all be everywhere to check out all the dumpsters!

Hey there,
I’m a producer for the program KUOW Presents on KUOW public radio in Seattle. I’m interested in researching a story about how the changes in the economy are reflected dumperster diving. Do you find more stuff? Less stuff? Has the economy made you more reliant on dumpster diving for good finds? If you have a good story to tell, please email me at: swaller@kuow.org. Thanks!

Grand Central Baking warehouse dumpster (off ohio and diagonal) is in a well-lit covered parking lot. Dumpster there is also marked “not fit for human consumption” like the one at Essential Bakery but I’m guessing it’s to cover them somehow legally. I, completely human, have been loving their bread for a while now.

Essential Bakery has a dumpster that is bread loaves only INSIDE the fenced parking lot. When you drive in, you’ll see two tan dumpsters at the far end of the platform. Lots of loaves there. The compost dumpsters outside the parking lot will only have dough, etc. inside.
