It’s Jan. 24 and they have been filming in my neighborhood in Redondo Beach, at the AES power plant. They’re shooting scenes with explosions, gunfire and helicopters. Maybe for episode 19 or 20?
On the first episode, he had breakfast with the red-head and her son (I forgot their names), but I think that is the only time I’ve seen him do it. As for the bathroom…
This is WONDERFUL!! Especially for those of us who don’t know California geography at all, and who would follow Jack anywhere. You are performing a great public service. Thanks
I agree that this is a great idea and would like to add my SoCal expertise in tracking Jack.
At the very end of the episode when Erwich is driving off, there is a telephone number in the background. The number is 818 882-9999. A little work on Google leads to you 10034 Canoga Ave., Chatsworth, Ca. 91311. Thankfully, it is in the Valley and within a reasonable distance to the “Sunrise Hills Mall.” Here is a website for the business.
Hi, Bob! Long time UCLA student here chiming in to say that there is no building on campus that has the sort of pointy dome tower/structure they show in the establishing shot for the hospital. I don’t think it’s the VA, either, but have only seen that one driving by, so can’t be sure. Good luck, and love the page!
PS. PTG above is spot on — it is St. Luke’s, minus the cross, which was removed 2 years ago.
This is great!! BUT where are the 2 Saturday Night Live dudes who are filming a scene with a woman getting mugged AND Jack Bauer stops his car and try’s to help – I am not makin’ this up – otherwise – good job all around – thanks!
Day 5, 3AM – 4AM Missed the coordinates given to Jack by Bill, but supposedly it was the beginning of the 118 Freeway. Those coordinates are: N34 17.189’ W118 24.633’. 4000 feet down the road would put the aircraft at San Fernando Rd and the 118. Terrain to NE of the 118 is hilly leading into the foothills. That would have made for a screaming steep approach onto the 118.
Can Jack sell is guide to traffic in LA. Considering it takes me 1 hour to go one mile in traffic. HUM!! Maybe that’s an IDEA for American Inventor. This is a city for stolen ideas so someone steal mine that has the time.
BTW, I can’t believe no one has made a copy of the recording yet. If the computer nerd worked with the original, she of all people should have made a copy before working with the original – or even better the copy!
Did anyone tape the program and have available the coordinates given for the 118 Freeway? Supposedly according to Bill, the given coordinates were for the beginning of the 118 Freeway. The pilot or Jack mentioned something about there appeared to be only 4000 feet available to land. And, supposedly they ended up near Balboa Blvd and the 118. The 118 initially heads SSW, then W and curves near Balboa Blvd before heading W again. It is at least 6 to 8 miles from the start of the freeway at the foothills (just west of the desert they were flying over) to the Balboa exit. Of course, when doing subwarp speeds and orbital insertions like Jack does in L.A., anything is possible.
If you read the Wall Street Journal, the Jacktracker is featured in the May 15, 2006, edition. Oi, there’s no way to go but down now. Thanks WSJ – now we’re as important as Enron :).
5am-7am screencaps are done. Sorry, I was more than a little rattled last night by that season ender, and didn’t really feel like making light of it at 1am in the morning. Pathos combined with Humor – there is really nothing else like 24, and you never know which way it is going to come at you. Last night was a shocker. There is a real lack of description in the latter waypoints, as I didn’t want to publicly disclose what many people around the world have yet to experience. As the water cooler talk chills out, I may be back to add more detail, but basically we are done. Enjoy. It was fun, but really, really hard. Never again. Best of luck to you all. The Jacktracker-In-Chief.
P.S. Chloe, Evan Katz and company. This is all yours now. Treat it well.
So…any idea where Audrey was knifed by Henderson? The scene where Curtis rescued her was the best scene of the year! I think it must have been from 12a – 1a…am I right?
Audrey got knifed at the Van Nuys Airport between 12am and 1am. She was rescued by Curtis at the mystery nursery sometime between 1am and 2am. The map lives on. Groovy.
The YouTube Jacktracking video is now posted. Thanks anonymous major Hollywood film director. It’s awesome. No Jpegs of the Jacktracker. It exists only in the here and now of Wayfaring. You might try a full zoom of the map and screen capture via Jpeg the map. That’s generally what people have done.
