Jane Street Tavern is a friendly neighborhood eatery and bar. Food is good basic fare, probably a little pricey for a tavern, but still affordable within the bounds of the West Village definition. It’s got a crowd of bar regulars, a 30-50’s crowd, mostly from the area. The tables are crowded on weekends, but not bad the rest of the week for a spur-of-the-moment bite.
