This workshop introduces participants to the primitive art of pinhole photography. After learning a comprehensive history of the practice, participants fabricate and employ primitive cameras to expose paper negatives. More contemporary methods, such as digital pinhole, are also demonstrated. Participants are encouraged, but not required, to bring boxes of various sizes and shapes to use in the construction of their cameras; all other supplies are provided. The class is held at Congaree National Park Outdoor Classroom at the Old-Grove Bottomland Forest Research and Education Center. $135 or $100 for members.
