The oldest event of its kind in the city, this one-day celebration offers explorations into linguistic, literary, and cultural traditions through lectures, film screenings, visual arts exhibitions, and live music performances. Seating is limited and advance registration is required: http://humanities.uchicago.edu/humanitiesday.

This year%u2019s keynote address, Painting as a Way of Life: The Blind Orion of Nicolas Poussin, will be delivered by Richard Neer, David B. and Clara E.
