Leading this lecture and demonstration is Richard Stoltzman, the preeminent jazz, classical, and new music clarinet player who is credited with expanding the range of clarinet repertoire. Nebraska-born Stoltzman holds a BA in math and music from Ohio State University and a Master of Music from Yale and is the first wind player to win the Avery Fisher Prize (1986).
