A sand bar that the tides in the Ariake Sea reveal. The Saga-ken (Prefecture) office for international visitors sponsored a boat trip. The captain beached the boat on the sand bar and let the group play on the bar. The festivities included a game of releasing eels and recapturing them. We ended up taking an eel home with us and trying to figure out how to prepare it.
