The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is a beautiful place to visit. It is on about 200 acres outside of Austin. The architecture and buildings are stunning. The gardens are beautiful and there is a lot of valuable research going on from UT scientists. They have plant sales, symposiums, and educational programs for adults and kids. Coming out and walking the trails and seeing native Texas plants is worth the drive. They also host weddings and special events!
