Shoal Creek Saloon is a great spot. It is right on Shoal Creek with an outside covered deck…so in between watching one of the many screens playing football(especially any Longhorn or Saint’s game) and drinking cheap beer you can stare out at the creek and little park beyond.

The food here is very ‘New Orleans’ and very good. You can get gumbo, crawfish and hush puppies, and shrimp po’boys…they also have burgers and other options.
