Description

Spring Creek is one of a number of outstanding streams located in central Pennsylvania. It originates in the mountains east of State College and becomes a limestone spring creek as it is bolstered by springs along the way. A one-mile “heritage trout angling” (fly fishing only, catch-and-release, no wading) section is accessible at the aptly named Fisherman’s Paradise (pinpointed on the map). But Spring Creek offers good fishing nearly anywhere you can access it, and boasts a variety of bountiful hatches including BWO, green caddis, sulphurs, tricos…

Some of the best info about fly fishing Spring Creek and central PA is available through the Flyfisher’s Paradise shop (URL below). The shop site’s forum is busy, useful, and interesting. http://www.flyfishersparadise.com
