Located above the Silverado trail, this winery offers outstanding views looking north toward St. Helena and across the valley floor. The wines are ho-hum but the staff is friendly. The last time I was there, I heard an odd story about screwcaps versus cork. The taster claimed that the screwcap bottling of their Sauvignon Blanc led to a more citrusy wine by slowing the oxygenation process compared to cork. This story seems impossible to believe.
