The Metropolitan Oval is the oldest soccer field in continuous use in the United States. Many of the country’s greatest players played there at some time. Today, the Oval is operated by the Metropolitan Oval Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to youth soccer (U-23 and younger) in New York City.
