Home of the Sounders, a legendary club dating back to the NASL, Seattle (along with Rochester) is the club most deserving of “promotion” to the MLS.
Qwest Field – built for the American Football Seattle Seahawks seats 72,000, though the Sounders sell only a fraction of that. Still, like New England’s Gillette Stadium it was specifically built to accommodate a great Soccer pitch.
Soccer: 70 yards wide, 110 yards long-meeting National Football League, Major League Soccer and World Cup Soccer field and sight-line requirements.
