Description

John Mitchell was a steel hulled bulk freighter that was 420’ long.

It was built in 1907 at St. Clair, MI. The ship was struck by the freighter Mack and sank. The ship lies upside down but the cargo holds and cabins are accessible.

It is located about three miles WNW of Whitefish Pt.
