Newell A. Eddy was a scow schooner barge.
The barge was 242’ in length with three masts. The barge had a load of corn when it was separated from the ship towing it in a storm. This is a very deep wreck with the decks at 144’ and the bottom at 168’. There is an eagle figurehead on the wreck.
The wreck is on the NE side of Bois Blanc Island about .3 miles N of Raynold Reef.
