The B3212 from Moretonhampstead to Postbridge seems to be a particularly spooky place, and this spot is among the weirdest. The Green Combe is at a small bridge passing over the East Bovey river. People have the strangest encounters here, from feelings of nausea and sickness to vague sensations of fright and even sheer terror. Some people have told of a person running after them, but only visible out of the corner of the eye.
Also, the B3212 has been the scene of a number of strange accidents, cars overturning, motorcycles disintegrating or veering off course, horses bolting … so better take double care if you travel here by night.
