Background

The Allianz Arena is the home ground of Munich’s two major teams, the famous Bayern and TSV 1860 (currently in the second division). This photo is rather dated because the stadium is long finished and the first couple of matches have already taken place there.

Note: Before this stadium was finished, Bayern and 1860 used to play their home games at the Olympiastadion, built for the 1972 games and with a capacity of 80,000.

1860 also played some of their Bundesliga and second division games at the Gr%uFFFDnwalder Strasse (capacity 40,000).
