The Plains is the top of the grade from Bull Run, just west of town is the east end of the Allison passing siding and spring switch indication (no access), no fast food, old station is now a private business, siding to industry Rt 55 crossing, DD at mp 19. The westbound approach signal for the Allison spring switch is about a mile and a half east of The Plains.
