Niagara Falls – Slowly I turned
Life is good. There is a Tim Horton’s across the street from the motel.
Today’s plan was simple. We would take a short day and see the sights. It was a good thing because my legs were shot. I was struggling to maintain 10 mph on flat ground. I don’t think that I drank enough yesterday.
The ride along the river was pleasant. We stood in the mist from the falls with the rest of the tourists. Lunch was on a terrace over looking the falls and gardens. Brian said that we needed to use up our Loonies and Twonies. All in all, a pretty good morning.
We continued along the river heading to the Queenston/Lewiston Bridge to cross back into the U.S. A flat tire as we approached the bridge just slowed me down some more.
Re-entry to the U.S. was uneventful. The route off of the bridge puts you on the expressway for a short ride to an exit ramp. This is a bit disconcerting.
Next stop, the Wide Waters Drive-In.
