Visited for a week in Mar 2005. Perfect spot for a tropical get-away. The island is half French, half Dutch. The dutch side is more touristy with lots of shops and restaurants. The french side is much quiter and has the best beach on the island. There was hiking to do in the hills, great food, and lots of nice people. Most of them speak english.
