Built in 1862 by David Stevenson who was the uncle of Robert Louis Stevenson. The lighthouse has a very unusual and attractive red sandstone tower which stands at 121ft high. Parking is avaiable although access to the buildings is not permitted. The cliffs around the lighthouse are a great place to look for seabirds such as fulmars and gannets.
