Several visits from 1999 through summer of 2002. This tricky little runway is on the side of a mountain, upsloping, and short. Landing there can be a bit sporty.

On one of our approaces some moose decided to cross the runway while we were on short final. I’ve seen the damage a bird can to an airplane. At the time I was imagining what damage a moose would do. Fortunately they cleared the other side just as we were touching down. Why did we decide not to abort the landing? We were past the commit point and going arround at that point would have put us into a mountain. Good times, good times.
