An enormous mansion on a huge estate, with imposing white gateposts signed Vaux Hill. I am very curious as to what the status of this propery is right now. The Historical Society of Pennsylvania maintains a page on the family that built the farm. According to a photographer’s page
it is now called Fatlands. Judging from the National Park Service’s trail map of Valley Forge NHP, it appears to be a privately held property within the boundaries of the park.
