At this point, the Dumbarton Oaks Trail offically ends at Lovers Lane, a paved pathway that will head up from this point to R Street NW and Montrose Park. That’s the fork on the right. Going left, there are two options, going uphill to Massachusetts Avenue, or going downhill, following the creek to Rock Creek and on up to Woodley Park. We’ll trace the rest of that trail.
