Meetings of a Sauquoit-based group that opposes a proposed power line are getting bigger and bigger.

About 500 people crammed the Sauquoit Valley High School Monday to hear local officials talk about their efforts to stop the proposed New York Regional Interconnection power line that would run from Marcy through Utica and numerous Oneida County communities on its way down state. The meeting was organized by the citizens’ group Upstate New York Citizens Alliance.
