The Mercantile is located on Dame Street right in the heart of the city. It has a very lively atmosphere generally playing all the latest chart hits. The Mercantile stays serving until 2.30 over the weekends and regular hours during the week. The pint is a little expensive but competitive compared to surrounding pubs. The staff are friendly and don’t keep you queueing too long, even when it’s packed the queue moves along nicely. This pub can become quite crowded but there is plenty of standing room for all on the three floors, although seating is quite scarce.
