When making jewelry, my biggest inspiration is often the gemstones that I work with. I may sit for an entire afternoon putting different stones together until a combination inspires me and a new design is born. Many times the stones lying next to each other as I am working will inspire me to use a previously foreign color combination. I think of my jewelry as a %u201Cmixed media%u201D of sorts, as oftentimes I will combine gold or silver chain with leather, glass beads, and/or gemstones strung on wire to create a piece of jewelry.

My jewelry incorporates precious and semi-precious gemstones, precious metals, Bali silver, leather, waxed cotton, porcelain, and glass beads along with gold or silver wire that I have formed and hammered. In order to acquire a wide array of the finest materials available, I travel across the country to hand-pick gemstones and other materials I use in my creations.

I derive much of my inspiration by simply creating %u201Coutside the box.%u201D My technique has evolved over the years, which is evident in the asymmetry of my more current work; a style which, based on my background in Mathematics and the legal field, contradicts my natural inclination toward order and symmetry.

My customers love the simple, often earthy, yet elegant and sophisticated feeling that my jewelry invokes. It brings me great joy to see someone fall in love with a piece of jewelry and carry it home for safekeeping. I feel so very blessed to be able to do what I love.
