Orchestrating silence: In working with glass it is my goal to create a dance with the medium; similar to the dance that is created when I paint via oils.

I am constantly learning the correct balance of movement, silence and space.

Originally from Eufaula, AL, Amy graduated from the University of Montevallo, AL, in 1999, with a BS in Art/Psychology (Art Therapy in emphasis). Amy accepted a work-study scholarship at the Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina and Pilchuck Glass School in Stanwood, WA. While studying at Pilchuck, Amy apprenticed under studio art glass greats for three years: including William Morris. Amy helped foster a community of local, emerging and accomplished artists who aided her in opening the Vixen Glass.
