Huntsville, AL Fiber

I am a quilt and fiber artist, and have been working in mixed-media since 1995. Quilting is a family tradition that did not strongly appeal to me until I was introduced to contemporary art quilts through working with such artists as Paula Nadelstern, Jane Sasserman and Dianne Hire. My work features bold graphics and bright fabrics; I also introduce found objects, vintage fabrics, and my own hand-painted fabrics into my quilts, bags and wall pieces.

My work was has been featured in Dianne Hire%u2019s recent book, Quilter%u2019s Playtime: Games with Fabric, published by the American Quilter%u2019s Society, and was the recipient of first prize in the Martha Pullen Quilt Academy exhibition in 2003. I live and work in Huntsville, AL
