Pamela Watters grew up in Fort Payne, Alabama, where her family has lived for generations. Now living in Atlanta, Pamela uses the medium of pastel in a painterly fashion. Her landscapes reflect her love of the lush surroundings found in the Southeast. Whether the subject matter is figurative, still life or landscape, she captures excitement in her work by combining techniques of the Impressionists and Post-Impressionists with the outrageous colors of the Fauves. She strives to project a feeling of shimmering light, movement and explosive colors within each painting to capture the imagination of the viewer.
