Glass
I am a self-taught artist and a native of Braselton, Georgia. I began working in iron and steel 12 years ago and then moved on to a combination of glass and steel. I was drawn to the complexity of glass and have developed my techniques over the past five years. I began by fusing glass and then moved to slumping and manipulating cloth strips during the heating and cooling cycle, resulting in a variety of 25 different patterns and combinations of glass.
I have built my own hot shop and blow glass as well, creating my own unique variations in color and design. Versatility is evident in the array of decorative and functional objects and sculptures that I create. I continue to explore the nature and magical qualities of my chosen medium and to develop my unique and inimitable style as a glass artist.
