Kathleen is a native of New Orleans, and after rearing her five children she acquired a R.N. degree in 1985. She then was able to pursue a long-held desire to paint and has taken several workshops including: Ron Lewis, John Lonagan, Novella King, Linda Ellen Price, Nancy Honea, David Leffel, and Sherrie McGraw.

She is a member of the Mountain Brook Art Association, the Vestavia Art Association, the National Association of Pen Women and Artists, Incorporated.

Kathleen%u2019s paintings comprise children, family life, landscapes and still life with oil as her medium on canvas and hardwood.

Her paintings have appeared in a number of juried shows and have garnered collectors locally, nationally and internationally (Amsterdam). She has been featured in the Birmingham News for the family mural in her kitchen.
