Painting

As an abstract expressionist, I attempt to capture feelings and portray them through color. I prefer to use bright and intense colors overlaid with more subtle colors, as this most accurately illustrates my feelings. My goal with each painting is to seize an emotion and translate this energy into a tangible form. Most of my paintings are a moment I%u2019ve captured and shaped over time, and then placed in plain view on canvas; a window on the wall through which one may catch a glimpse of my life. Due to my style of painting, I prefer to work with acrylics, sometimes coupled with charcoal, which allow me to place layer upon layer until I achieve the desired effect.
