Jewelry

I live in Pensacola, Fla., and I do all of my work in Northern Greece. Although I have no formal training, I have always loved art and designing and have always been drawn to nature and gardening. After coming across this process in Greece, I worked out an arrangement in which I was able to study and learn from the Greek artist. I go there and pick the vegetation while it is fresh, I chemically treat each piece and then dip it in various precious metals. These include 24kt gold, sterling silver, and copper. Some products are put through a process to give them an aged, or antique look. Each piece still has the vegetation inside, thereby, making each truly %u201Cone of a kind.%u201D Some of the items I make include necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings, brooches, candlestick holders, book markers, pencil holders, as well as paper weights. The plants I use include roses, chrysanthemums, daisies, spiraeas, ivy, lemons, pomegranates, olive leaves and branches, rosemary, thyme, sage and morning glories.
