Alexander%u2019s Wearable Art is a mother-daughter team who collaborates to produce very unique wearable art. This consists primarily of lampworking by Darci, a technique that dates back to ancient Greece by which one melts and fuses glass to produce beautiful beads, and freeform peyote stitch by Julie, an old Native American, bead weaving technique. These two art forms are then combined with gemstones, swarovski crystal, Czech glass and glass seed beads to form unique wearable art. Trying always to use the finest materials and techniques, many hours are spent to produce high quality work. They often draw inspiration form the colors and forms found in nature and although Julie finds peyote stitch to be a relaxing and meditative process, Darci%u2019s passion is the creation of lampwork beads and beautiful wirework. Together they are able to produce beautiful and creative wearable art.
