I am one of those creative, nutty people who you see on the street and wonder if you should cross over to the other side. My art reflects my whimsical attitude towards life where pop culture integrates seamlessly into our collective unconscious and becomes an intrinsic part of our lives.
I bring to life pop culture icons in my art as well as zany, wacky characters that live somewhere in the folds of my grey matter. I often wonder if %u2018grey%u2019 is spelled %u2018gray%u2019 and will spend an entire life moment pondering these kind of phenomena when I should be doing something gainful.
I use wood, paint, found objects, glue, nails, screws and other useful items to bring my art to life. I use power tools and take great pride in my shiny, new DeWalt drill. So far I have not lost any of my body parts or important digits to these tools. My use of color is fun, bright and candy-like.
I collect toys and Pez dispenser often appropriating items from my children and friends%u2019 childrens%u2019 collections with great stealth and, lo, without their prior permission. I use these toys to fuel the fire in my creative endeavors. I am also a graphic artist and professional carpool driver. I am currently writing a book entitled %u201CHeirloom Jell-O Recipes%u201D which I am also illustrating.
