The Canaries, and especially Tenerife, are a wonderful place for walking. There are several useful guide books for walking on the island, but I guess the best are the Sunflower guide by Noel Rochford and the Rother guide (which is available in four languages).
I only had the chance to do this walk, out of the Sunflower guide, but it is one of the most beautiful I’ve ever done. Lush laurel forests, stunning views of the Teide, the Teno mountains and neighbouring La Gomera, and all within a rather easy, not too difficult walk (the last climb can be tough if you suffer from vertigo, but you can easily leave that out). This is THOROUGHLY recommended.
