I don’t think we really liked our drive through Texas a whole lot. From what I remember, our impression was that it was just a lot of barren land and greedy Republicans (we could see them standing next to their oil wells in ten-gallon hats, big money bags, and dollar signs in their eyes! Creepy…).

The high point , though, was when we got to Dallas. When we saw it coming up, we put in our TV themesongs tape, fast forwarded to the Dallas themesong, and listened to it as we drove past the metropolis. Needless to say, we didn’t stop and just continued up the highway.
