The campground that we stayed at at Red Rock Canyon State Park, Murray remembers it being cold as hell. The landscape in this area, is pretty clear and flat so the wind whips scross it with nothing to stop it. The campground itself was pretty cool scenically, though. The campground parking spots are all situated around the circumference of a giant crater. At the bottom of it there was a lake. Very cool visually. Definitely one of the more striking campgrounds that we stayed at.

Besides the wind, though, another problem was that we were at a very high altitude. it took forever for the stove to get the water boiling.
