This beach is NOT for swimming (brown water, ugh), but it’s a nice place to get lovely sunset photos. There’s also a boatramp and some nature trails, though they’re still in disrepair from the hurricanes. The Wildlife Refuge is a non-profit organization that takes in wounded animals, and if they’re too injured to survive in the wild, they move into the refuge permanently. Features bald eagles, hawks, owls, and other local creatures. Parking is free, and admittance to the Refuge is free (though they have a donation jar and it’s nice to drop them a couple of bucks if you can spare it). Restrooms on site as well.
