Hosted by The Alberta Motion Picture Industries Association (AMPIA), The Alberta Film & television Awards, sometimes called the “Rosie Awards”, is an annual celebration that salutes production excellence in the province of Alberta.
Each year, producers and craftpeople who reside in Alberta, submit their most recent productions from the previous 12 months and winners are determined through a carefully-executed jury process with the judges selected from within the film and television industry across Canada.
Rosie Awards are presented in 24 Class (Best Program) categories, including Best Documentary, Best Drama Over 60 Minutes (Best Movie) and Best Musical/Variey Special, etc., plus 30 Craft categories, including Best Director, Best Screenwriter and Best Cinematography, etc.
