Although the Butterfield Stage didn’t typically come through Shiloh, now known as Springdale, passengers often disembarked for meals at the Gladden Hotel, which stood not far from the present-day Shiloh Museum of Ozark History before the hotel was razed in 1972. The Shiloh Museum has interpretive programs and historical exhibits about the region.
