Visitors take the tour of the Wren’s Nest, with a focus on Reconstruction and New South attitudes of race relations from the unique perspective of Joel Chandler Harris. Tours would include storytelling: slaves brought the Br’er Rabbit stories over from Africa, and Harris recorded them for the newspaper and compiled them in books. A very family friendly destination.
