8:12 AM – Jack needs to create a diversion before the suspect gets on to Roue 7 so CTU can get a satellite over their location. Route 7 doesn’t exist near Los Angeles, but since they are going to Newhall, we can say that they are using I-5. Jack crashes into the suspect as he is about to enter the freeway.

Notes: Could route 7 mean The 170? Perhaps, but they’ll still have to get on I-5 eventually, so we’ll keep things simple.

In the show, we see “IMC Toys” in the background (309 E 4th St, Los Angeles, CA). That location makes sense with regards to the background scenery, but since Jack is supposedly traveling north, we can’t use it.
