The Publow oak

created by  grambler

Description

An oak with a circumference of about 32ft 4in (at 5ft from the ground) in 1985, described by Alan Mitchell as the sixth biggest in England, in 1987 (in ‘The Natural History of the Chew Valley’). There is a right of way in the next field, which gives a good view of the tree.
