The Fayetteville Square has always been a public space since Fayetteville was founded. It was mostly open in 1858 when the Butterfield coaches began running. Today, a restaurant is operated in the city’s Old Post Office and a Farmers’ Market is open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings.
