Fisherman’s Wharf is generally lethal, but there are a few things worth seeing on Pier 45.

The Musee Mechanique is a fascinating collection of vintage penny arcade amusements, many of which were salvaged from the Playland at the Beach, amusement park that used to be on Ocean Beach, near the Cliff House.

The most fun way to get here is by taking a vintage streetcar on the Muni F Line.
